Procurement Bill must protect local firms
2 May 2003 - THE Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) the Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF) and the Third World Network (TWN) Africa have called on Parliament to take appropriate steps to ensure that the Procurement Bill currently before it does not pose any problems for local firms when it is passed into law.

29 Apr 2003 - TWO former Ministers of State in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Administration were yesterday sentenced to various terms of imprisonment by the Fast Track High Court in Accra after being convicted for their roles in the Quality Grains Company scandal that resulted in the loss of more than $20 million to the state.
