For your sightseeing pleasure, just 14 kilometers north of Accra is the University of Ghana, a tribute to Japanese art. Accra is also home to The National Museum, where you can learn all about the history of Ghana, see displays of ancient relics and traditional art. The Centre for National Arts and Culture was once for popular as an entertainment center. Today however, it is the home to Accra’s Handicraft Market, one of the major attractions of Accra and a tourist’s delight. People go there to buy and sell crafts and it has become the largest market for handicrafts in the country. Items are brought in from other parts of the country.
